Principal applications are closed

We received some great feedback from staff, students and whānau about what you would like to see in our next principal.  Much of this reiterated what we as the Board of Trustees were looking for too.

Here are some of the criteria that we would all like to see:

¤ A champion of our Vision of ‘Friends, Learners, Guardians’, our Values and strategic direction
¤ A dynamic, energetic and forward-thinking leader who is prepared to ‘step the school up’
¤ Committed to promoting and celebrating our community’s diversity
¤ Focussed on student achievement with a proven and successful history of good outcomes for students
¤ Approachable, visible, with a sense of humour
¤ A natural communicator who engages easily with everyone in the school community
¤ A collaborator, who works easily with teams
¤ Be knowledgeable about and a champion of mātauranga Maori
¤ A competent steward of the school’s resources, be well organised and bring business acumen to the role
¤ Committed to continuing to grow leaders in the school
¤ A strong advocate for the school in the local community and an ambassador for our Kāhui Ako

Applications for the role have now closed.
As a board, we have had good interest, and we will now be going through the process of shortlisting the candidates and preparing for interviews.

Until next time!
Ngā mihi
Whakahoahoa, Ākonga, Kaitiaki
