Kia ora koutou,
Ngā mihi nui ki a tatou.
This update will summarise some specific pieces of activity that have been happening over the past couple of terms. We hope that you enjoy the read.
¤ As a Board of Trustees we are continuing to connect with the boards of the other schools in the MaCOL (our Maungakiekie Community of Learning). The MaCOL achievement goals were signed off by the Ministry of Education late last year, and we were even fortunate enough to be held up as an example CoL by the MoE CEO
¤ We have partnered with SchoolDocs, and the school policies and procedures will shortly be accessible by the community from our school website. This will improve transparency and review of our policies
¤ Last week we held our inaugural school fono for our Pasifika fanau. Despite the low turnout, this was a great opportunity to gain feedback from and share with our families the learning process at the school
¤ The enquiry topics at school have generated some real passion and interest. It is important that we continue to have the high levels of engagement. Our activity fees have enabled our students to have some great learning experiences outside the classroom, and our parent helpers are of vital importance. Thank you.
¤ Finally, congratulations to all the school artists for their ARTerslie exhibition. What an outstanding experience for those attending! Thank you Mr Meadows et al. for arranging the works.
Until next time,
Whakahoahoa, Ākonga, Kaitiaki
