Welcome to two new trustees

Kia ora everyone,
This month sees us welcoming two new members to the Stanhope Road School Board of Trustees. At our latest board meeting we selected Paia Terepo to join us, in the role vacated by Linda Kimpton. We also voted to co-opt an additional trustee until the next school trustees' election, for the purpose of improving our understanding of the school's largest cultural group. Brajesh Padalia has been appointed to this role.

Congratulations, and we look forward to working with you both as we develop a focus on Hāutu - our cultural responsiveness as a board.

Here is the latest update of events at Stanhope Road School:
¤ there has been a good response to the new school uniform, with many parents pre-ordering uniforms for next term. There are also many other exciting changes on the way, so keep reading the school newsletters
¤ there has been an influx of new entrants over the past couple of weeks, and this has meant that another classroom will be opened for use. Welcome to Ms Kylah Drake, who has been employed on a fixed term contract for this purpose
¤ the board voted to slightly amend the monthly meeting time to 6:30pm - 9:00pm, freeing up valuable family time for our trustees
¤  the NZ School Trustees Association has their annual conference in Auckland again this year. It will run from the 3rd - 5th July.

Finally, a sad farewell and a huge thank you to Margita Kamsma, her many years teaching at the school have been much appreciated and her caring spirit will be missed.

Until next time.
Let's talk!
